Felix Gannon

  

Felix Gannon is an artist whose studio practice is based in South Bermondsey, London. He studied Fine Art at Middlesex University (1995 – 1998) where he specialised in painting.

The artwork he makes currently explores topics relating to colour interaction and how colour is encountered and interpreted today. It is informed by his experience working within the commercial design and construction industry. Computer programs are employed in some of his artworks to determine an order for application of coloured marks.

Drawing and research are an important part of his practice. His final artworks develop from observational drawings collected in sketch books and his investigation into histories and ideas surrounding the relationship between visual representation, politics and society.
